Community Programs
From it’s beginning, one of the primary missions of Treetop Yoga has been to provide service. In addition to providing a place of non-judgement where people can come to explore the practice of yoga and connect, we’ve developed programs to help serve the needs of our diverse community.
Seva Program
Seva means “selfless service” in sanskrit. The Seva Program was designed based off of this principle. The Treetop Volunteer Program consists of dedicated yoga students who wish to become more involved within the Treetop Community and deepen their yoga practice. The program asks volunteers to dedicate and commit their time to helping Treetop with signing in classes, studio maintenance, and marketing. In return, the studio provides volunteers with unlimited yoga classes. If interested in becoming a part of the volunteer program, express your interest to owners, management or volunteers and you will be contacted when more help is needed..
Karma Class Series
The Karma Class Series was created as a means for Treetop to give to those in our community who need it most. All Karma Classes are donation based, and all profits are donated to a charity chosen by the instructor. Past Karma classes have benefitted One Fund Boston, Action Inc., Kestrel Educational Adventures, HAWK, The Sargent House, Backyard Growers, Wellspring, The Open Door, Pathways for Children, The Sherpa Community in Nepal and Seaside Sustainability.
Community Instructor Program
Our Community Instructor Program provides newly trained yoga teachers or teachers in training with practical teaching experience. Treetop is happy to provide Community instructors a place to cultivate their teaching style and expand their own practice into one that can be shared. They are provided with the support, guidance and feedback from more seasoned instructors in order to help them achieve their full potential as yoga teachers. Community classes are an affordable option for students to pursue and expand their own yoga practice. Community classes are $7 drop in, cash or check only.
