Monthly Restorative Workshop with Jemma Tory Restorative yoga is about non-doing and allowing yourself to just be. By using bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps, your body is fully supported in each pose to fully let go and allow true relaxation, restoration and renewal to occur. When we can move from our fight-or-flight responses to the go-go-go mentality of day to day life and shift into our parasympathetic nervous system through restorative yoga, we can lower our blood pressure, decrease our stress and anxiety and decrease insomnia. We will start the evening with a short mediation on breath and move into a very gentle flow of movement on breath to open and warm the body. We will then move into the full restorative part of the workshop, where Jemma will gently assist you into each completely supportive
pose enabling you to release your body and mind into the state of non-doing so you can begin the healing powers of just being. This workshop is open to all. Anyone who would like to bring their own props is more than welcome. If not, we have plenty of props for everyone. Space is limited so it is highly recommended to preregister. First Sunday of every Month Upcoming dates: 6/2, 7/7, 8/4 6:30-8:00 pm $20
